13 weeks to go
Some of my friends think I am crazy for counting down weeks till my departure from the U.S to Europe but what can l say besides l am a planner.
I have a lot of things to get done hence counting down weeks- this way I can estimate how long a task will take to get done.
A good example of this is my passport- I needed to it renewed so l sent it off 5 weeks ago the government website says it takes 2-4 weeks to process. But here we are at week 5 and no new passport in sight. now had l waited till July to do this l would be stressing but since l am a planner and l knew to add a few weeks to whatever they said.
And I am having all my Vaccines for travel in Asia and Africa
Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis
Measles, Mumps, Rubella
Varicella
Meningococcal
Hepatitis A and B
Yellow Fever
Polio
Japanese Encephalitis
Rabies
Typhoid
You have to be a masochist to pay someone give you the Rabies- the shot itself didn’t hurt but the day after was another storey. If you have had it you know what l am talking about. For those who haven’t had the pleasure of getting injected with inactivated virus heres a break down of what to expect
hour after the shot- tenderness at injection site
5 hours after- feel a little weak and feverish
22 hours after- headaches, fever, muscles and joints ache to the point where it hurts to eat or drink.
48 hours after you are back to your normal self till you have to go back for your 2nd shot the week after and the 3rd a month later

Oh wow.. I am sure you’re glad that you send off the passport in advance. I tell ya, you just can’t count on government offices for efficiency.
btw, I didn’t know you have to take all those shots to travel in Asia.. and they make you so sick.. uuugh.

J- you know me better than to say l need to get tested for aids.. i mean come on thats a white mans disease everyone knows that:)
and honey l wont let a man kiss me unless l know about his history believe you me l dont want get a gift that keeps on giving….
